TOURISM SNAKE BOAT RACE

This year also Kerala Tourism
Department had arranged a special race of the elegant Snake
Boats, was held on 11th January 1999(15.00 hrs.) at Punnamada
Lake, Alappuzha as an exclusive event mainly meant for tourists. About
138 tourist from different countries came here to view this glorious event.
Mr. Harry Tindall,
a Lawyer from U.S. was selected as Chief Guest through a draw of lots.
15 Snake Boats participated in this race in
their best sportsman spirit.
